As part of our special issue five which shall be launched as part of Aspects Literary Festival on 30th September, we are putting out a call for work on the theme of ‘Aspects’.  This can be poetry, flash fiction, art, photography or any type of experimental/ hybrid work that you can think of.  This is instead of our usual, general call- so please only send work on this theme for issue five.

Please follow our usual general guidelines, which you will find under the ‘Submissions’ section here on our website- (previously unpublished/ up to two pieces of work/ biography and photo in the email/ separate Word document attached etc etc) -but include ASPECTS EDITION as the heading of your email alongside your name and the genre of your work.

Poems should not be any longer than 40 lines long/ flash fiction limit 200 words/ experimental, crossover/ hybrid pieces should be within a similar ballpark.  We are extremely keen to read experimental/ hybrid work for this issue.

Take the theme ‘Aspects’ and play around with it- think different aspects of your life, personality, tastes, experiences, features… think different directions, positions, outlooks, views, locations.  Interpret as you may!

The deadline for submissions is midnight 31st August.  All contributors will have the opportunity to read the launch event at The Blackberry Path Art Studios in Bangor on 30th September.
