New Poets Collective
Introducing Amy Louise Wyatt and Denisa Hasieberova
Seacourt Print Workshop 6pm
Free – Registration required
New Poets Collective is a Southbank Centre initiative to nurture and showcase emerging voices. It is made up of poets from each of the tour’s locations; poets who will work closely with their communities to tell stories, celebrate local dialects and languages, and show that poetry is for everyone.
Join Denisa and Amy to kick off the Festival programme with readings from new poems they have written as part of the New Poets Collective.
Amy Louise Wyatt is a poet, visual artist and lecturer from Bangor. Her interdisciplinary practice explores language, place and the connections between poetry and visual art. An award-winning writer and editor of The Bangor Literary Journal, her work extends into community engagement and education through creative writing and art workshops.
Denisa Hasieberova is a poet and visual artist from the Czech Republic, now based in Northern Ireland. Her interdisciplinary practice explores identity, migration
and belonging, shaped by living between countries, languages and cultures.
A recipient of an Irish Writers Centre mentorship, she facilitates poetry workshops for community, educational and cultural organisations.
