The Winner of the 7th Annual Bangor Poetry Competition is announced

We are delighted to announce the winner of this year’s Bangor Poetry Competition, voted on by the public during Aspects Literary Festival.  Huge congratulations!

 

Winner: Gaynor Kane with ‘Fire-lighting’

Runner Up: Mary Shannon with ‘Depending on the Elements’

Third Prize: Meg McCleery with ‘The Most Unnatural of Natural’

Fourth Prize: Laura Cameron with ‘Still’

Fifth Prize: Lynda Tavakoli with ‘The Big Tree’

Highly Commended: Geraldine Fleming with ‘Pink Blanket’

Commended: Grainne Tobin with ‘County Down Heat Wave’
